Security at RemoteLink

RemoteLink is remote-support software. Someone can only see or control a computer when that access was asked for, approved and recorded. There are no hidden sessions, no universal passwords and no way for us to reach a computer without leaving a trace the owner can read.

What is always true

• Attended support requires the person at the computer to approve the session and every capability separately, and they can stop it at any moment.
• Unattended access has to be switched on by the computer's owner for named people, and can be taken away instantly.
• RemoteLink never records what is typed, what is on a screen, what is copied, or the contents of transferred files.
• Screen and control traffic travels over an encrypted peer connection; everything else travels over HTTPS.
• Each company's records are separated in the database itself, not merely hidden in the screens.

What we do not claim

RemoteLink has not been certified or audited against SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA or any other standard, and we do not describe it as compliant with one. The controls described here are the ones actually built.
